Oh no! Charlie Puth revealed new details about his scary battle with an illness on Dec. 9, only two months after canceling the remainder of his tour. The crooner confessed that he had to get a not-so-fun treatment before going on stage in order to perform. Here’s the scoop.
Charlie Puth, 25, had to cancelled the remainder of his Don’t Talk tour back in October, citing an illness. Now, he finally opened up about the shocking treatment he had to receive in order to perform each night. “I was sick and I had to have like tetanus shots in my butt just to get on stage at one point,” he shared before taking the stage at Z100’s Jingle Ball on Dec. 9, according to
“Not tetanus shots — steroids or something like that,” Charlie went on. “It’s crazy. I’m looking forward to just resting.” While the crooner told People he’s beyond ready to take a break and that he’s got “absolutely nothing,” planned for the holidays, we get why. Shots in the butt doesn’t sound like any fun at all!
When Charlie cancelled his tour he took to Twitter to let all his fans know that he was having a rough time physically. “This is the last thing I want because I love being on the road performing and meeting every one of you,” he tweeted on Oct. 23. “I have been extremely sick pushing through these dates and haven’t been [taking] the time my body needs to recover. Resting and taking time off the road is the only way I can get better and start performing for you again. I promise I will do whatever I can to make it up to you. I love you so much. I’m deeply sorry.” Aww, Charlie we understand!
Charlie is already looking ahead and planning to create new art, telling People, “I’d love to put out a new album and just do the music that I love.” We can’t wait till you’re well enough to get back in the studio and get that new album started, Charlie. Feel better!
